We have the most technologically advanced systems on the market at an incredible value. How do we do this? Astrophysics has its own fabrication company to lower the cost of mechanical parts, and we in turn extend this discount to the customer. Most of all, we buy primarily from US vendors and manufacture in the USA at our headquarters in California, just 25 miles east of Los Angeles. Assembling at our headquarters gives us direct control over quality and improved manufacturing efficiency, all this we pass onto the customer in lead time, reliability and value.
MAIL & SMALL PARCEL
Compact and mobile systems for mailroom and small parcel inspection to detect contraband, narcotics, and other threat materials. Astrophysics offers 5 products for this application with tunnel sizes ranging from 53.3 cm x 35.4 cm to 65.1 cm x 45.4 cm.
XIS-5335S
The XIS-5335S is a small yet powerful X-Ray Inspection System with a tunnel size of 53.3 x 35.4 cm (21” x 14”). The XIS-5335S is the ideal system for screening small scale objects with increased penetration, revealing liquid explosives, IEDs, contraband, narcotics and weapons.
XIS-6545
The XIS-6545 is the ultimate X-Ray Inspection System with a tunnel opening of 65.1 x 45.4 cm (25.6” x 18”). Designed for small to medium sized objects, the XIS-6545 is the first product ever manufactured by Astrophysics and is characterized by its reliability, optimal dimensions and effective threat detection.
CHECKPOINT
Checkpoint inspection of incoming personnel, visitor or traveler belongings, including backpacks, laptop bags, purses and luggage. Astrophysics offers 8 products for this application, with tunnels ranging from 60cm x 40 cm to 77.5 cm x 58.3 cm.
7858VI
The 7858VI combines the VI Series performance with a larger screening capacity. The 7858VI has a dynamic look with a stainless steel frame panels and a Mobile Monitor Stand, complimented by an impressive suite of software and hardware advancements for unrivaled image manipulation and quality.
XIS-6545DVS
The XIS-6545DVS is a dual-view X-ray Inspection System with tunnel dimensions measuring 65.0 cm x 45.1 cm (25.6” x 17.8”). Designed for high threat security locations, the XIS-6545DVS is ideal for airports, government facilities, ports, hospitals and banks.
LARGE BAGGAGE
Inspection systems with an increased tunnel size for screening baggage, oversized luggage, large crates, and parcels. Astrophysics offers 10 systems for this application, with tunnels ranging from 58.4 cm x 78.3 cm to 120 cm x 100 cm.
XIS-1080D
The XIS-1080D is an advanced X-Ray Inspection System that offers tunnel dimensions of 101 x 80 cm (40” x 31.4”). Significantly, with a low conveyor height of just 30 cm (12”), it facilitates fast loading and is well suited for heavy object screening.
XIS-5878
The XIS-5878 X-Ray Inspection System has tunnel dimensions of 58.4 x 78.3 cm (23” x 31”). The XIS-5878 features a low conveyor height of 30 cm (12”) to expedite the loading and unloading of screening objects. It is well suited for airports, government facilities, and sites with heavy inspection parcels.
CARGO
TSA qualified x-ray systems for cargo screening of freight and large incoming packages. Dual view and high penetration systems are available. Astrophysics offers 14 products for this application, with tunnels ranging from 58.4cm x 78.3 cm to 180.3cm x 190cm.
MVCTC
The MVCTC is a multi-view and CT capable system for medium to high density pallet screening of challenging commodities. The MVCTC was developed with funding and support from the Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate.
XIS-1517DV 320KV
The XIS-1517DV 320kV is an advanced X-Ray Inspection System with a tunnel opening of 152.4 cm x 170.2 cm (60” x 67”). The XIS-1517DV 320kV utilizes both dual view technology and high powered generators for improved image screening and increased penetration. The XIS-1517DV 320kV was specifically designed for in-depth screening clarity of customs and military cargo.
MOBILE SCREENING
Mobile screening solutions for quick and efficient security at borders, custom sites, entertainment, and sporting events. Astrophysics offers mobile systems featuring a built in x-ray system with a tunnel size of 100cm x 100cm.
XIS-TRUCK
With a tunnel opening of 101.6 cm x 81.4 cm (40” x 32”), the XIS-Truck can screen diverse parcels, baggage and cargo for explosives and contraband. The XIS-Truck is designed for outside events, border checkpoints, and various mobile screening needs.
XIS-TRAILER
The XIS-Trailer has tunnel dimensions 100 cm x 100 cm (39.4” x 39.4”) and is the ideal solution for flexible screening. It has durable aluminum walls and roofing on a custom steel frame construction. The XIS-Trailer is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
